Kplus Grid Ceiling Tiles

Suspended ceiling tiles usually have a dimension of 600 x 600 mm and are available in terms of material in two types; i.e., gypsum and mineral fiber ceiling tiles respectively.

Introduction / Kplus Grid Ceiling Tiles

Mineral fiber ceiling tiles are produced pre-painted while gypsum ceiling tiles are produced either as pre-painted, laminated or plain. The lamination of gypsum tiles is made of PVC while aluminum foil can be laminated on the backside of the tile. PVC laminated tiles and pre-painted tiles do not need to be painted and thus the application speed will be increased.

In places where there is a possibility of vapor condensation and water drop formation on the back of the tile, such as the utility ducts or hot and humid locations, aluminum-laminated tiles are used. Plain tiles can be painted according to the user’s wish.

In terms of acoustic properties, ceiling tiles are produced in two types: plain (without sound absorption properties) and acoustic (with sound absorption propertise). Acoustic tiles are often used in spaces such as cinemas, amphitheaters, banks, department stores and offices. Acoustic tiles are produced in different categories of sound absorption tailored for different performance criteria.

Plain Gypsum Tiles

Plain gypsum tiles with or without perforations are available in plain, painted or laminated types. Painted tiles can be generally used in dry areas where aesthetic requirements are needed.  Laminated tiles can have various benefits according to the type of lamination they have. For instance, PVC laminated tiles can be easily cleaned with a wet towel or tiles with aluminum foil lamination at back are used in grid ceiling applications where there is a possibility of vapor condensation or water drop formation at the back of the tile. Painted tiles are coated with white acrylic, antistatic and antibacterial paint are also produced. The paint used in this type of tile prevents the growth of micro-organisms in the environment and on the tile surface and is a handy and economic option for builders.

Acoustic Gypsum Tiles

The main feature of acoustic tiles is their high sound absorption. These boards absorb some of the sound waves due to the conduction of sound through the holes in the tile to the space behind the false ceiling. If a layer of rock wool is used on the back of the tile, the sound absorption will be increased significantly. Acoustic tiles are often used in buildings such as cinemas, amphitheaters, banks, department stores, offices and educational spaces. Acoustic tiles with different categories of sound absorption criteria are produced as follows: Model 6/18 Model 8/18 Model 8/12/36 Model 8/12/50 Model 12/25 Acoustic tiles with PVC coating or without coating (to Plain or painted white) is produced and supplied. These tiles have a fleece layer on the back of the tile to prevent the collapse and diffusion of mineral wool particles. The color of the fleece layer is white or black depending on the customer’s request.

Patterned Gypsum Tiles

These type of tiles are produced and supplied in four different designs and laminations. Tiles with backside aluminum laminations are used in places where there is a possibility of water drop due to condensation at the back of the tile or in damp or wet rooms.
